Don't buy into the mental mayhem, propaganda, and
all the attempts to protect good old-fashioned greed. Yes, greed is old-fashioned, and yet there is nothing good about it. Oh, the captains of industry will assure you differently, that "Greed is Good" because it creates much wealth, many jobs, and expands technology and opportunities in abundance all about the globe. Religion will tell you differently, that greed is indeed good, because it gives people hope, so send in those dollars.
But the fact is, because of money, people will sell you a lie. More insidiously, they will FEED you a lie. And that lie tastes GOOD, the perfect complement to breakfast, or with a side of applesauce.
It is reported in the news that American pig farmers don't want to report the outbreak of Swine Flu in their herds, and why? Because some idiotic dolt in a high place might decree that the poor suffering pigs should be "put down." Just think about it. Killing all them good, tasty pigs. Someone decrees these sick pigs should be killed...
...and burned.
And why should pigs with Swine Flu be murdered and burned, if there is absolutely no danger in eating pork? If eating dead pigs that are infected with the Swine Flu is a safe practice, why in the world have so many countries wiped out thousands of pigs, and even more so birds, whenever the Swine Flu or Avian Flu has reared its ugly, murderous head?
Perhaps the pig farmers know better than all those bags of hot hair in high places, those "ready-to-push-the-panic-button" cretins that would decimate an entire industry that provides good, good food, to good, good people. Because people love their pork. Pig tastes good. Forget Porky Pig's status as a "differently abled," just slit his throat, slice out a chunk of him, and fry it up in a pan (it never lets you forget you're a man). Pig tastes good.
So if the pigs get sick, why kill them? Why burn them on a pyre? Why wipe out millions of birds in China and all across Asia?
The experts tell us that it is safe to eat pork and chicken. They are experts. We are not experts. They are. So we should trust them.
But why do they, the experts, behave in such a schizophrenic way? Why do they cull herds, exterminate flocks, all the while telling us that there is no danger in eating pork, in eating chicken.
So the pig farmers, shhhhhh, they don't report the infestation of flu virus. They very quietly process their product and ship it out all glossy under tight shrink-wrap plastic, a thing of beauty, all shiny and bright and glistening, enough to make your mouth water, just imagining sinking your teeth deep down into the flesh that once was alive, walking about on four hooves, a thing of stinky beauty, these poor piggies. And the pig farmers pocket their just-deserved rewards for producing such a product, a product that lines the super market aisles, and is so desirable, so lusted for, so demanded by the peoples.
Give us our pig! Give us our pig! Pig tastes good!
Oh it is delicious.
There are sites on the Internet that tell you, if you catch the flu, eat lots of pork, it is chock full of vitamins and antioxidants, it is healthy, this other white meat, it is healthy and safe and good and you should feed it to your children, you should make your beloved little ones clean their plates, lick them clean, lapping up each drop of taste pig oil and rent flesh.
Yet, there are the Jews, and Muslims too, and down through the years there have even been Christians (if you can believe it) that have believed the Bible. These traditional yokels believe that God spoke, and that God speaks Truth, and that God does not lie, and that God said don't even touch this dead flesh, let alone eat it, that for a human to eat swine flesh is abomination. The wisdom of the ages? Or perhaps God just didn't understand that you just need to cook the stuff? Has God figured it out by now, do you think? A lot of Christians believe so, and they wave their hands in the ay-yuh like dey jess doan cay-yuh, all the while chanting: "We are not under the law! Pork tastes good! We are not under the law! Pork tastes good!"
But did God lie?
Hmmm, think about it, did God lie? Does God lie? I've actually heard friends and family and beloveds and Christians and just plain ole people say and teach and preach that yes, God does lie, no He doesn't know everything, yes, God is learning just like we are and He has made quite a few mad mistakes in His time. Hmmm, is it true, that God lies? Is God a man? Does He change?
For generation after generation, did the Jews just make a really, really stupid tradition that even most non-religious Jews know, understand and follow? And why in the world did Muslims pick up this ancient "truth," coming along as they did long after a very carnal Christianity and a despised Judaism, are the Muslims just plain ole stupid?
I mean, don't these people know, pork tastes good?
Or do they know something true, a fact, reality in tradition that does not change through the ages, that God knows what He is talking about? Could that be true? I mean, don't we, with all our science and education, don't we just know more than God could ever know, where He is far away floating on a cloud?
